Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:

The faculty, staff, and students of Straughn Elementary School join us in welcoming you to the 2019-2020 school year, and in sharing the pride we have in our school and our community. What an exciting time to be a Straughn Tiger! Straughn Elementary School has a long tradition of academic excellence, and it is our hope that during this school year this excellence will result in your child’s achievement of his/her highest potential.

We believe that open and clear communication between school and home is important to student success. Our Student-Parent Handbook is filled with important information regarding school policies and procedures. Parents/guardians and students should review this Handbook together. If you have questions after reading the handbook, please call the school office at (334) 427-1311.

We welcome your participation and support during the school year, and encourage your participation in the Straughn Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). We look forward to celebrating with you the achievements of our students.
